And Venice Beach is loaded with a rich history and present of celebrities who have either had Venice as their home or Venice Beach as a place they love to come and play. Jim Morrison and George Carlin both lived here at one time. Lawrence Welk not only lived here, but his band performed nightly at the Aragon Ballroom, which is now gone.
